Teale Vella

Physiotherapist

Teale is a passionate Physiotherapist focused on educating, empowering and advocating for the health of others. Her special interest is in the treatment of female athletes helping them achieve high performance by bridging the gap between Musculoskeletal and Women's Health Physiotherapy.

After spending several years working in Football in A-League Women’s, National Premier League and Illawarra Premier League, Teale saw an apparent lack of education and consideration for the unique characteristics of the female athlete, by both athletes and health professionals. Since then, Teale has furthered her studies by completing post graduate training in Women’s Health and is currently completing her Masters of Sports Medicine with The University of Melbourne.

Teale has also contributed to industry leading research with The University of Sydney investigating heading injuries in Youth National Premier League. This research has been used to inform injury prevention policy by FIFA and Football NSW.
